Dr. Farhadi

Hossein Farhady is a former associate professor of applied linguistics at the Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) in Tehran,Iran. He received his MA in TESL and PhD in Applied Linguistics from UCLA in 1978 and 1980,respectively. His major area of interest is research on various aspects of language assessment.

He has taught courses on language testing,research methods,and ESP at the MA and PhD levels for the last three decades in Iran,Canada,Armenia,and USA. He has also presented papers in national and international conferences and has widely published on the issues related to language testing. He has published more than 10 books and 50 articles on various topics in applied linguistics and particularly in language assessment.  He has directed two MA programs in TEFL,two nationwide research projects on EFL/EAP education in Iran,and supervised over 60 MA and PhD theses. He has also directed several test development and test validation projects in Iran and other places in the world. 

He retired in 2006,moved to US,and worked as a senior scholar and project manager for organizations such as Ordinate,Lidget Green Corporations and Avant Assessment in California,and Second Language Testing,Inc.,in Rockville,Maryland. He also directed projects related to the scoring of Pearson’s new automated language proficiency test. From 2008 to 2010,he worked as the associate dean of the Department of English Programs at the American University of Armenia. Presently,he is a faculty member at Yeditepe University in Istanbul,Turkey and an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California,Los Angeles.

Khalil Motalebzadeh

Khalil Motallebzadeh is associate professor at the Islamic Azad University (IAU) of Mashhad and Torbat-e-Heydarieh Branches,Iran. He is a widely published researcher in teacher education,e-learning and teaching methodology. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC) in 2007-2008. He is also an accredited master trainer of the British Council since 2008 and is currently Iran representative in Asia TEFL.

Chuck Sandy

Marisa Constantinides

Marisa Constantinides is the Director of Studies of CELT Athens and is responsible for the design and implementation of all the programmes offered by CELT. Her main qualifications related to teaching are the RSA Diploma in TEFLA (DTEFLA),a precursor to the Cambridge Delta Diploma,and and MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Reading in the UK. Her involvement in Teacher Development Programmes started at the Hellenic American Union where she ran workshops for colleagues and State School Teachers,then with Longman Publications running numerous training seminars for them all over Greece.

Divya is a Senior Lecturer in Language and Education at Centrale-Supélec,Université Paris-Saclay. She has been an EMI trainer since 2011,working mainly in science and engineering. She has an MEd in Education Research,an MA in Language Education and is also a Fellow of the RSA.

Carol Read is a teacher,teacher trainer and materials writer with over 30 years experience in ELT. She has taught students of all ages and levels,from very young children to adults. Her experience includes teaching,teacher training and academic management posts in Venezuela,Portugal and Spain. She has also published extensively in the field of teaching English to young learners.
She currently works as a writer and international educational consultant advising on pre-primary and primary foreign language programmes,and delivering customized teacher education courses. She is the ex-President at IATEFL.

Bita Rezaei

Bita Rezaei is the Director of Studies at Hermes Institute in Tehran,Iran. She is also an IH online tutor,a British Council master trainer and a Cambridge CELTA tutor. She holds an MA in TESOL and Applied Linguistics from Leicester University as well as CELTA and CELTYL certificates and a DELTA diploma. Her areas of interest in ELT include teacher training and development.

Nerina Conte

Nerina Conte has worked as a teacher trainer in many European countries including: Spain, Holland, Italy and Greece. In collaboration with International House Barcelona she opened Language Teacher Training in Belgium and is director of the center. In 1990's she started working at International House Barcelona as a Young Learner and Adult teacher and eventually as a teacher trainer. She is an external assessor for the University of Cambridge.

Gareth Knight

Gareth Knight has worked in the education field in Asia for more than twenty years. Leaving London and a career at British Telecom,he headed to Tokyo to work in educational publishing and training. He co-founded a highly successful corporate training venture within a leading Japanese educational publisher. He joined Cambridge University Press in Tokyo and led their sales and marketing drive into the Japanese market. Armed with an MSs in Teaching English,Gareth moved to Bangkok in 1997 and lectured post-graduate linguistics at Srinakharinwirot University. During this spell,Gareth authored two textbook series published by Cambridge. In 2000,he rejoined Cambridge to build sales channels and marketing throughout Southeast Asia for educational product. He became the Asia group director for Cambridge Learning.

Dede Wilson

Dede Wilson is an ELT consultant and teacher trainer. She worked for many years as an EFL/ESOL teacher and teacher trainer for both native and non-native speaker teachers at Westminster College in London. During that time,she developed a combined training course for teachers of English and other languages leading to the OCR certificate in Teaching Foreign Languages to Adults. She was a Cambridge CELTA trainer and assessor for many years and an ICELT chief moderator. She has a BA in Psychology,a Post graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and an MA in ELT and Applied Linguistics from Kings College,London. She has been involved in teacher development sources in the UK and with the British Council around the world since 1990 for teachers of Young Learners in Europe,the Middle East,China and the USA.
